The tabletop is hexagonal in shape and decorated with khatam micro-mosaic. The surface has sustained mechanical damage, repeated weathering cycles, and water ingress. These factors, combined with multiple material losses, have left the remaining mosaic unstable.
The brief was to clean, stabilise, consolidate, and, where possible, replace losses.
